In May 20th, 2005, the structured matrices community especially the students were shocked by the news of Georg Heinig’s death. Georg Heinig was found dead in his apartment in Kuwait.  

 It was confirmed that the heart attack was the main reason behind his death. Georg Heinig was well known as one of the structured matrices experts. He has been well known as the active member of the Integral Equations and Operator Theory journal.  

 Georg Heinig was died in the age of 57. The world has simply lost the one of the best experts of the structured matrices experts. It was the greatest lost for his colleagues and his students.
